The Duster Coat

It wasn't long after wearing this outfit - or particularly the duster coat, that I was asked by a number of people to feature it on my blog. Well the secret's out...this pastel blue duster jacket was in fact purchased at George @ Asda! Who would've thought? I couldn't believe it either to be honest, I'd initially stolen it from my mum's wardrobe (as I also did with the top, shh) but after being asked an abundance of questions as to where this mystery coat was from, I finally checked the label inside to see George! I believe this coat was only around 14.99, so talk about a bargain! 

I love throwing on this duster coat when I'm in rush/fashion crisis, as the pop of blue usually distracts people from the rest of my outfit - which is usually pretty basic and quickly thrown together without much thought haha! (Trust me, owning colourful statement pieces like this coat is such a lifesaver)

Travel Diary: New York City & The 6

There's nothing I enjoy more than travelling. Travelling is more than just taking pretty instagram pictures, which I must admit I am guilty of, but is more so an opportunity to experience different cultures, visit new places, make memories and to simply explore. This is exactly what my trip to NYC & Canada was - a wild, fun, spontenous two weeks in which I made some of the best experiences of my life (and took some pretty darn amazing pictures!) Stripes & Heels

Are you looking for an outfit which you can wear to meetings, dinner or even a night out? Today's look is exactly that! Whilst putting this look together I couldn't help but notice the versatility of the outfit - the chiffon shirt and pointed heels adds sophistication, making it appropriate for elegant outings, whilst the jeans still keeps it somewhat casual - making this the perfect outfit to fit a "casual/dressy" dress code.

Healthy Breakfast Idea

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? That's why it's super important to always make sure that your breakfast is nutritious, filling and most importantly DELICIOUS! Over the past few months I've been experimenting with a bunch of different breakfast recipes that fit this criteria and it's fair to say that this one scores a close second under my go-to pancake recipe (will be up soon!) 

What I love most about this breakfast is how many different flavours are incorporated. The avocado is flavoured with lemon juice and pepper - adding a slight tang, whilst the tomatoes add a really fresh and juicy taste which I love. Let's not forget to mention that the tomatoes are also an excellent source of vitamin C, whilst the superfood kale is filled with powerful antioxidants and contains all of the essential vitamins A, C and K as well as minerals like copper, potassium and iron!

I then just mashed up half an avocado in a small bowl, adding some black pepper and lemon juice to bring out its flavour. Once I reached a consistency that I wanted, I spread the avocado on a small piece of wholemeal toast. I then sliced the other half of the avocado into strips and cut up a large tomato to add some colour and flavour!

How To Style: Boyfriend Jeans

Ah, the classic boyfriend jeans...something that's been on my wish list for months! Well guess who picked up a pair in the H&M sale for only £10?! That's right, talk about a bargain! These jeans are such a summer/autumn wardrobe staple as they honestly go with everything and make even the simplest outfits so much edgier. Unfortunately, these jeans are sold out online - so it's best to try and look in store or even try looking in thrift stores, you'll be surprised at what you'll find! Don't worry about the sizing, the baggier the better (these are actually size 14!)

I chose to style my boyfriend jeans with a loose white t-shirt with a black lace bralet underneath, a red cross-body bag I received from HerFashionBox.com a couple of months ago and some silver sandals I picked up in the Office sale. What do you think? :)
